‘American Mirror’, produced by David Shara and directed by Arthur Balder, explores how the American contemporary culture perceives feminine beauty while visual artist Tigran Tsitoghdzyan paints and interacts with characters he portraits in NYC. Besides Susan Sarandon, other participants are The Expanse TV series co-star Florence Faivre, The Pyramid star Ashley Hinshaw, and jewelry designer Morgan Shara.

The producer of the film, David Shara, a New Yorker, aims to deliver to general audiences an audiovisual product that defies the boundaries between documentary and fiction. Arthur Balder, the director of the film, an American based in NYC, honored with two consecutive awards by the Association of Latin Entertainment Critics of New York for his first work, ‘Little Spain’ and for experimental film ‘The reality of the imaginary’, premiered at MoMA, as well as the Lady Of the Victory of the Critics Circle of Mexico, has been also honored recently by the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors of New York as ‘Outstanding Documentary Fimmaker 2016’.
